A job in 15 days — but at a 15% pay cut

Two months after joining an MNC, a Java backend developer said their role disappeared in restructuring. They had more than five years of experience, a new home loan and no severance during probation. Salary would continue until 31 July. Friends sent referrals against specific job IDs, and the developer contacted people on LinkedIn. Five interview processes produced two rejections and three offers. They chose a Noida product company over two Pune startups because of location. In a follow-up, the author disclosed a 15% pay cut. Getting an offer quickly had not removed their anxiety about job security.
